Who can enroll?
Vibe City Alliance welcomes youth ages 6–18 from Gary and surrounding Lake County communities. Our programs are open to all students who are ready to learn, grow, and lead — no prior experience required.
How much does it cost to join?
Our programs are designed to be affordable and inclusive for all families:
Gary Residents: $0 – $175 (Covered through grants and sponsorships)
Lake County (Non-Gary): $150 – $250 (Income-based reduced fees)
Scholarships Available: Full or partial support for qualifying families; no one turned away.
All materials, uniforms, and supplies are provided through grants, sponsorships, and community fundraising.
When does the season start and end?
Enrollment opens each December for the following year’s sessions. For specific program dates, please refer to the individual program pages or contact us directly.
What are the behavior or grade requirements?
We partner with parents and guardians to help every student succeed. Families are asked to ensure regular attendance and communication, support fundraisers and community events, and encourage positive behavior and academic effort.

How do I apply for a scholarship?
To apply for a scholarship, please complete the scholarship application form available on our Application & Scholarship page. You may need to submit income verification documents.
Are parents required to volunteer?
While not required, we greatly appreciate parent involvement in our programs and events. There are many opportunities to volunteer and support Vibe City Alliance.
Who supervises the children?
Our programs are supervised by background-checked and certified staff who are dedicated to providing a safe and enriching environment for all students.
